Fifteen years ago, Cheryl understood that she had to do “Something”.  The “Something” was a Soup Kitchen.  That inspiration originally began at the Keswick Christian /Pentecostal Church on Church Street.  The ideas was to provide a meal for anyone that required it and the guests would enjoy nourishment and friendship without charge.  For several years the volunteers moved tables and chairs upstairs and down to provide for the evening.  The need to find a more accessible arrangement was recognized.  Pastor and Reverend Jan met to invite the Community Supper to Keswick United, across the road.  Every Thursday, volunteers from Maple Hill Baptist Church, Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, Keswick Presbyterian, Aurora Pentecostal Church and Keswick United, team up to cook, and serve a meal in the Gathering Room where lots of fellowship and food make for a great time for the 60 to 80 guests.  At Christmas the Clergy do the serving and usually welcome 100+ friends to enjoy the evening.  This is the church community putting Faith into Action.
